PTC’s offerings in computer-aided design (CAD), product lifecycle management (PLM), the Internet of Things (IoT) and augmented reality (AR) help its customers digitise their operations and collaborate. In CAD, its Creo offering is used to create 3D computer models and simulation to optimise the design for products ranging from wind turbines to phones. PTC’s Windchill software suite for PLM enables collaborative content and process management helping manage the full life cycle of products, from production through to end of life recycling.

With ThingWorx, PTC provides a platform for developing applications for the Internet of Things, helping industrial customers improve the efficiency of their operations with predictive maintenance and data analytics. Its augmented reality product, Vuforia Studio, overlays digital information such as repair instructions onto the view of physical objects and processes. Covid has helped accelerate adoption of PTC solutions, making them a necessity by enabling remote working, avoiding the need to travel and physical presence, for example through PTC’s Chalk AR solutions.
